Mission: |
To create profound and lasting change in Northwest Pasadena/West Altadena through innovative programs that combat the effects of poverty and violence. |
| Vision: | A healthy, safe community where families thrive, youth reach their full potential, and equality and opportunity are accessible to all. |
For more than 25 years, Flintridge’s work and activities have been shaped by the community and its needs.
Our priorities:
Prevention: We further the positive development of at-risk youth through mentoring and out-of-school programs, with a focus on improving student achievement and graduation rates at Washington Middle School and John Muir High School.
Intervention: We steer individuals away from gangs, violence and incarceration through training and workforce opportunities, one-on-one support and links to services in order to foster hope and build skills for self-sufficiency.
Collaboration: We develop, lead and manage community partnerships that bring together diverse stakeholders, leveraging our collective resources to solve our community’s toughest challenges.
