
Barbara manages Flintridge’s Philanthropy Resource Library. She assists visitors with their grantseeking and nonprofit research needs and also conducts training sessions and develops programming to highlight the Library’s extensive resources.
Barbara joined Flintridge in 2010. Her prior experience includes managing special library collections at the Los Angeles Zoo, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s Highway and Transportation Engineering Library, and the Gas Company’s News Bureau and Public Relations Library in downtown Los Angeles. She has also worked as a librarian at two local schools.
Barbara received a B.A. in American Studies from California State University, Los Angeles and an M.S. in Library and Information Science from the University of Southern California, and is a graduate of Pasadena’s Blair High School. Deeply committed to the importance of literacy and the public library system, she serves on the board of an associates group affiliated with the Friends of the Pasadena Public Library. Barbara also volunteers as a docent with the Autry Museum of Western Heritage where she provides weekly tours and helps to inspire students to learn more about their family history and cultural roots.
