About Us

Armando L. Gonzalez, FAIA, Chair
Pasadena, California. A founding principal of the firm Gonzalez/Goodale Architects, specializing in institutional design projects. Committed to community, people and service. Believes in the immense value of the arts. Toured China in relation to a Sister City tour with key officials from the City of Pasadena. Holds leadership positions on several nonprofit boards, including Huntington Memorial Hospital and Centro Latino for Literacy. Serves on the President’s Latino Advisory Committee for Pasadena City College and on the Advisory Board of the UCLA Bruin Community School.


Ernestine L. Moore, Vice Chair
Pasadena, California. Retired after 32 years as Vice President of Student and Learning Services at Pasadena City College. Subsequently served as District Director for California State Senator Jack Scott. Active on the boards of local nonprofit organizations including Pasadena Senior Center and Pasadena City College Flea Market. Member of the Education Committee of Pasadena NAACP. Past member and chair of the City of Pasadena Human Services Commission. Passionate advocate for community empowerment and youth education.


David Moseley, Secretary
Pasadena, California. Writer/Producer of independent films. Primary academic interest is the cultural production of identity and its representation in the visual and social fields. Strongly committed to the pursuit of a just and open society.


Sarah Sockit Moseley, Treasurer
New York, New York. Artist, designer and gallerist for more than ten years. Founded Sockit Projects, a literary agency and book packaging company that fosters and produces creative publishing projects. Former director of two New York contemporary art galleries. Has worked with numerous nonprofit organizations, including the Center for the Urban Environment to develop sustainably produced children’s toys. Views cultural expression and powerful communities as essential for a vibrant society.


Josh Addison, Board Member
Ventura, California. Owns, develops and manages properties in Ventura County including the renovated Bell Arts Factory with artists studios, community room and exhibition space. Serves on the Board of the Ventura Boys & Girls Club. Committed to building environments that support community values, while acutely mindful of the need to tread lightly on our fragile and changing planet.


Alexander Moseley, Board Member
Pasadena, California. Studio artist working primarily in wood. Provided research for a book on the architecture of California architects Buff, Straub and Hensman published by the University of Southern California. Contributes his time to Flintridge Center to design graphic and presentation materials and to build and manage databases for Flintridge activities. Collects Native American art and believes deeply in the importance of art to society.


Sue Webber, Board Member
Bellingham, Washington. Former Marine Education Director on board the Snow Goose, a teaching and touring vessel that traversed the Northwest Coast. Has taught environmental science at Whatcom Community College for more than 25 years. Deeply committed to helping people learn about the importance and complexities of ecosystems. A founding board member of the Whatcom Community Foundation. Has also served on the boards of the Whatcom Land Trust and the Bellingham Food Bank. Believes strongly in the need to build community capacity.
