Mark Franco

Mark Franco portraitMark graduated from Flintridge’s Apprenticeship Preparation Program (APP) in 2009 and was accepted as an apprentice in the Laborers' Union. In addition, he was hired by Flintridge to conduct outreach for APP. Working closely with the Director of Community Organizing, he identifies prospective students, provides information about the program and follows up with potential applicants. Promoted to Outreach Coordinator in 2011, Mark’s responsibilities include working with the Pasadena Altadena Community Team to inform parolees about resources to help them reintegrate into the community.

Mark is always happy to share how Flintridge’s APP class was a life-changing opportunity for him. He was a speaker at the Pasadena/Foothills UN Chapter’s  2010 awards event, which honored Flintridge President Jaylene Moseley as World Citizen of the Year, and his inspiring story was featured in the Pasadena Weekly. Mark lives in Northwest Pasadena and is the proud father of three beautiful children.
