How You Can Help
Flintridge How You Can Help

Welcome!

We gratefully appreciate your financial support of our work. By making a contribution to Flintridge, you are helping to change lives right here in our own community.

There is serious work to do. Did you know that:

  • more than 30,000 families in Northwest Pasadena get by on just $15,000 per year?
  • more than 50% of our students at John Muir High School have two or more F’s and are at serious risk of flunking out of high school?
  • many of our teenagers are either starving to the point of illness or becoming morbidly obese…because they have only limited access to healthy foods or they haven’t learned to cook?
  • 900 gang members from 14 different gangs call this area home?

These are the issues we wrestle with every day. We’re making progress, but our continued success depends on your support.

Here’s how your charitable dollars can be put to work right away:

  • $5,000 provides after-school tutoring for 25 students for an entire semester.
  • $1,500 provides a mentor for one year for a vulnerable middle or high school student (our matches stay together for at least two years, on average).
  • $840 provides work boots and the union initiation fee for one of our Apprenticeship Preparation Program graduates.
  • $750 provides a new stove for the Mustangs on the Move after-school Cooking Class offered by our partner agency, NATHA.
  • $500 provides a 9-week training program for a violence prevention outreach worker.
  • $150 provides a professional one-on-one coaching session for the executive director of a local nonprofit organization.
  • $100 provides several books on nonprofit management topics for our Philanthropy Resource Library.

Whatever amount your contribution may be, it will be supporting the efforts of talented, experienced people working to improve the lives of our community’s most vulnerable members. Please click here to make an online contribution, or call Mark Eiduson at (626) 449-0839 ext.128.

Flintridge is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, making your gift tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

There are several other ways that you can assist the work of Flintridge Center and help close the gap for some of the most vulnerable, underserved and at-risk children, youth and families in our community:

Volunteer

You can volunteer at Flintridge and help dozens of grassroots community organizations provide services to the community.

Mentor

You can become a mentor to an at-risk youth who could use the support and guidance of a caring adult.
