We welcome enthusiastic and motivated volunteers who are committed to helping Northwest Pasadena and Altadena thrive.
Help us capture images of our services, programs and events with compelling photos that show how Flintridge Center works collaboratively in diverse partnerships to build community. Photos will be displayed on our website and in other electronic and print communications, such as brochures, our Facebook page, newsletters, etc. You should have a knowledge and interest in photography and experience as a photographer (either as a professional, hobbyist or amateur).
HOURS: Assignments are on an as-needed basis, most likely during weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and occasionally in the early evening.

Assist constituents in the Philanthropy Resource Library and help them in using the funding research databases.
HOURS: 2 hours, 1 – 4 days per month.
BENEFITS: A chance to learn about the many resources available for nonprofits and be trained in the use of Foundation Directory Online and other grantseeking tools. You will meet new people in a pleasant environment while helping the community. You will also be eligible to attend one Community Services event free of charge for every eight hours of service.
DUTIES: Open/close library; turn on/off computers and lights; replenish supplies; and assist constituents in using funding directories and databases and locating library resources.

Assist the Community Services team in preparing and setting up for workshops and Conversation with the Funder luncheons.
HOURS: 2 – 3 hours, 1 – 4 days per month.
BENEFITS: A chance to learn about organizational development and management issues in the nonprofit sector. You will meet new people in a pleasant environment while helping the community.
DUTIES: Day before event - photocopy class list, evaluation forms, handouts and other materials as needed. Day of event - help set up for event; greet guests and direct them to nametags; assist with payments and provide receipts; collect evaluation forms; participate in debriefing and help with clean up.

Greet and direct guests of Flintridge Center, answer phones and transfer calls to staff members.
HOURS: 1 - 2 hours, 2 - 3 days per week.
BENEFITS: You will meet new people in a pleasant environment while helping the community. You will also be eligible to attend one Community Services event free of charge for every four hours of service.
DUTIES: Answer phones, greet guests, direct guests to the Philanthropy Resource Library and alert staff to arrivals of guests.
