

Flintridge’s Philanthropy Resource Library is the only cooperating collection of the Foundation Center in the San Gabriel Valley. It contains in-depth material on foundations, corporations and government agencies that provide support for nonprofit organizations. Four computer workstations provide access to funding research databases. The Library also has hundreds of books and periodicals that cover all aspects of nonprofit management, including board development, fundraising, proposal writing, strategic planning, volunteer coordination, accounting, human resources, children/youth issues and after-school programming. Staff assistance is always available.

Foundation Directory Online
The Foundation Center’s Directory Online is a continually updated database with comprehensive information on more than 96,000 foundations, corporate giving programs and grantmaking public charities in the U.S. It also contains information on more than 1.5 million recently awarded grants, a keyword-searchable database of IRS Forms 990 and 990-PF, and links to grantmaker websites. Generate targeted lists of funding prospects in seconds.
Foundation Grants to Individuals Online
This online database features descriptions of nearly 8,000 foundation programs that fund students, artists, researchers, and other individual grantseekers. Find information on scholarships, fellowships, grants, awards, prizes and other financial support
GrantStation
GrantStation is an interactive website that allows grantseekers to identify potential funding sources for their programs or projects, and mentors them through the grantseeking process.
GrantStation provides access to a searchable database of grantmakers who are actively accepting inquiries and proposals from a variety of organizations; federal grant deadlines, which are updated twice a week; links to state funding agencies; and a growing database of international grantmakers.
Wealth Engine
An online database with detailed financial profiles of individuals. More than 25 top sources of public data—real estate, philanthropy, stock ownership and hard assets—are scanned and compiled into a profile with the latest information on a donor, prospect, company or foundation.
Library orientations are generally held twice a month. For more information, please see Grantseeking Basics. In addition, training in Grantseeking Technology is offered regularly, which covers how to use the Internet and FC Search software to research and identify potential funders. Flintridge sponsors the Foundation Center’s Foundation Directory Online at the La Pintoresca Branch Library in Northwest Pasadena. There are 10 computers available in the Library’s Technology Learning Center. Please note that staff assistance in using the database of funding sources is offered only at Flintridge’s Philanthropy Resource Library.
