Flintridge Center has adopted a waste management system to help the environment and reduce the amount of trash that ends up as landfill. The Retreat Center is equipped with a waste sorting station where waste is to be separated into three bins—trash, recyclables and compostable (organic) materials. Signage is posted by each bin. Information on how to sort waste items can be downloaded here.
All organic waste captured is sent out for composting. It DOES NOT go into a landfill.
Thank you for your cooperation and participation in this important effort. Please contact Desirae McWhorter or call (626) 449-0839 if you have questions or need clarification.
