Flintridge Scholarships

Flintridge offers capacity building scholarships to organizations or individuals providing services to the Northwest Pasadena/Altadena community. Board members, staff and volunteers are eligible to apply for support to enhance their knowledge and skills or to increase public awareness of their organization’s work.

A scholarship may be used for:

  • conference registration
  • workshops
  • training
  • reference books for an organization
  • software
  • advertising costs

Examples of recent scholarship support:

  • $750 for ten John Muir High School students to serve as Community Readers for the Pasadena Public Library’s One City, One Story program.
  • $500 for a new executive director to attend Riordan Leadership Development Institute.
  • $370 to an agency to purchase Quickbooks.
  • $500 for an executive director to register for Edison Leadership Training.

Scholarship amounts typically range from $25 to $300 and rarely exceed $500. Funds are limited, and once the annual budget is expended for the year, no further scholarships will be awarded.

To apply, please complete the scholarship application form (PDF) and fax it to (626) 585-0011 or mail it to Flintridge Center, 1040 Lincoln Ave. #100, Pasadena, CA 91103. Applications should be sent to the attention of Lisa Wilson.

Applicants will be notified of their status within ten working days.
