Flintridge honored by ACLU Pasadena/Foothills Chapter

Flintridge Center was honored by the ACLU Pasadena/Foothills Chapter at the organization’s 13th Annual Garden Party on Sunday, September 30, 2012. Flintridge and the Chapter have co-presented a series of workshops on “Know Your Rights in Police Encounters” that has benefitted more than 100 youth to date. Flintridge was recognized for helping at-risk youth deal safely with police, coordinating reintegration services for formerly incarcerated community members, and our overall work serving families and youth in Northwest Pasadena and Altadena.

Also honored was Sister Diane Donoghue of NETWORK, a national social justice lobby of activist Catholic nuns, for outstanding service to low-income households, and the Pasadena City Library for the staff’s defense of First Amendment rights.
