Back to (Summer) School Backpacks

Every year, Flintridge Center welcomes 150 youth in need of academic, social, and emotional support to our youth programs. Many of these youth are at risk of dropping out of school, have incarcerated parents, or are at risk of becoming involved in the juvenile justice system. You can help these youth thrive by helping us buy them backpacks and school supplies that they could not otherwise afford. Thanks to some amazing people, we’ve already raised enough to buy over 125 backpacks. Help us get to 150 by June 1.

The SKILLZ Summer School program, offered in partnership with Day One, Lake Avenue Community Foundation, College Access Plan, and Pasadena Unified School District, creates a nurturing space to help youth strengthen the skills they need to start the school year strong. The Youth of Promise program provides year-round youth development support to youth in the most high risk circumstances. We know that when we invest in and care for these youth, there’s no limit to what they can achieve.
