Flintridge Goes to Fast Pitch

Daniel Torres, Flintridge Center’s Outreach Case Manager, has been selected as a finalist in Social Venture Partners’ Fast Pitch competition!

Fast Pitch is a prestigious program that trains nonprofit leaders to tell their organization’s story of social impact. Daniel finished in the top half of competitors and gets to go to the final competition at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles on March 8th, where he and nine other finalists will get a chance to win grant money and other prizes. Daniel has been working tirelessly to prepare a presentation that will convince a large audience of potential donors that our Apprenticeship Preparation Program is exceptional and worthy of their support. The APP provides career opportunities for previously incarcerated community members. Each year, over 75 young men and women transform their lives and enter careers with unions in the construction trades. All of us here at Flintridge are so proud of Daniel’s great work and grateful for this wonderful opportunity created by Social Venture Partners!
