Meet the Newest APP Graduates!

The end of March marked the end of the Spring Apprenticeship Preparation Program cohort, but more importantly, the beginning of 12 careers in union construction.
For the first time, graduation took place at the beautiful Robinson Park Recreation Center — there was plenty of room to celebrate! City of Pasadena Vice Mayor John J. Kennedy delivered the keynote address, and 2017 APP graduate & current union plumber Frank spoke about the opportunities provided by union careers. We honored Ted Bruins and Bill Fairbanks, dedicated volunteers who go above & beyond to ensure academic success for APP participants and heard reflections from graduates about their time in the program and their goals going forward.
In the weeks since graduation, two APP graduates are now union members with several union apprenticeships in progress. Congrats to all of the graduates… we can’t wait to see what’s next!
