New Intern
Flintridge Center is excited to welcome Arielle Ventimiglia, our new intern for the 2015-2016 school year!
Arielle was born and raised by a single mother in Los Angeles and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is currently in her first year of study, pursuing a Master’s in Social Work at Cal State Northridge. As an intern, Arielle will be supporting Youth of Promise mentoring matches by interacting with students, ensuring that they are meeting regularly with their mentors, and receiving the supplemental services they need to succeed in school. Furthermore, she will be assisting Flintridge staff by supporting data collection and evaluation, program planning, and research for the YOP program.
Through this internship, Arielle hopes to gain a strong bond with our youth and enhance her knowledge of human development and research by working with the students of the YOP program. She is most excited about making a difference within the community by sharing her knowledge. In addition to her studies and internship, Arielle works to obtain housing for community members at the L.A. County Department of Mental Health and volunteers as a listener on a helpline for callers who need advice for life challenges. During her free time, Arielle likes to have fun by hiking, taking road trips, helping others, and meeting new people. We’re thrilled to have her as a member of the team!
