Summer School is in Session

It’s been a busy and fun-filled summer for us and our partners at SKILLZ Summer School. Over 100 young people at risk of dropping school have committed their summers to strengthening life skills and math skills, so they can go into the school year with confidence. It’s hard to believe, but there’s only one week left of the program. Over the past month, students have tackled important topics like conflict resolution, self-care, and health relationships, during life skills sessions with our partners Day One and Lake Avenue Community Foundation. They’ve planned for their futures with help from College Access Plan, and tackled everything from decimals to geometry with local Pasadena teachers. By the time this week is over, they’ll be ready for anything the school year can throw at them.

In case you haven’t heard yet, we’re doing one more thing to prepare our kids — we’re giving every SKILLZ student a backpack filled with school supplies. We’re over half way to 100 backpacks, but we need your help to get all the way there. Donate now to help us finish SKILLZ strong.
