Summer Was a Success for Our Youth
Youth of Promise’s six-week virtual summer program has come to an end! This summer, the program focused on self-care themes, leadership development, and connecting through fun and stress-relieving activities.
Highlights included: Cooking Class with incredible volunteers; Summer Speaker Series; Slime making (a huge favorite); Art projects & theater exercises; Book Club (the group read “The Hate U Give”); YOP Fit, a twice-weekly virtual fitness class.
After “the best summer program ever” (as one participant shared), we’re looking forward to more fun in the fall, supporting students through the virtual school year.
